Shieldex® Bern
This conductive nonwoven is chemically bonded and has a silver content of approx. 40%. Due to the antimicrobial effect of the silver, this nonwoven is often processed in the clothing industry as a lining fabric and additionally shields up to 50 dB in the frequency range 0.2 to 2 GHz - ideal for antimicrobial clothing designed to shield the body from radiation.
Shieldex® Bern is a chemically bonded nonwoven made of polyamide metallized with 99.9% pure silver. Due to the silver content of approx. 40%, Shieldex® Bern is an electrically and thermally conductive nonwoven fabric, which is processed as a lining fabric in the clothing industry primarily due to its antimicrobial properties. With a shielding performance of up to 45 dB in the frequency range from 0.2 to 5 GHz, the conductive material also shields against electromagnetic radiation. This means, for example, that electromagnetic radiation affecting the body can be reduced. Shieldex® Bern also has an electrical conductivity of < 2.5 Ω/□ and can therefore also be used as a laminate to conduct electrical currents or as a lightning conductor in aircraft wings. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.
